INTRODUCTION:
Sthree Shakthi Mahila Prathishtana Trust, is a registered women's organization, dedicated to the upliftment of wome in all
fields of activity - literature, drama, dance, music, and social serviceSSMP,MYSORE (India), a regd FOUNDATION [~Prathishtana~]
of WOMEN, by WOMEN and for WOMEN, dedicated to UPLIFTMENT OFWOMEN [irrespective of caste, colour, creed, age or status], in
all spheres of life, be it LITERATURE, MUSIC, DANCE, DRAMA, FINE ARTS, SPORTS, and above all, with ~service-motive objectives",
aims to undertake welfare programmes for women and children. SOCIAL SERVICE PROGRAMMES within the available and forthcoming
financial assistance from donors, charitable institutions and generous minded individuals [if the response is positive] who
have liberal bent of mind, are the main OBJECTIVES of the FOUNDATION. Service to Society in general and ~needy lady community"
in particular is our MAIN MOTTO.
AIMS & OBJECTIVES:
The main aim of the PRATHISHTANA is to bring all women, irrespective of who they
are, and from where they come, under one roof, by providing them common platform to encourage them to develop and exhibit
their hidden talents. The PRATHISHTANA aims to create opportunities for women of all ages to develop their talents in their
fields of interest,byorganizing training camps, workshops and competitions with a view to develop healthy spirit among themselves

]. Training courses for ladies towards self-employment such as ~FASHION DESIGNING", ~FABRIC PAINTING", ~DOLL MAKING", etc
will also be conducted by SSMP. The PRATHISHTANA also conducts periodical competitions for women and children in literature,
music, dance, drama, fine arts, sports, etc. Household competitions such as cooking, garden and home maintenance, doll exhibitions
during World famous DASARA in the City of Palaces - MYSORE - are also listed for implementation subject to availability of
sponsors, grants and donations. STATE LEVEL COMPETITIONS for women will also be conducted for selection of winners in different
fields [ for encouraging young generation who have not so far been recognized by either the Government or private organizations
] for awarding TITLES to the top BEST in ~FELICITATION CEREMONIES`. This will give the participants a boost to aim for more
achievements.
ORIGIN:
The PRATHISHTANA
has come into being on the basis of ~UNIVERSAL COMMUNITY`. Inaugurated on the 1st of February, 1998 by His Holiness, Shri
SURESHANANDAJI MAHARAJ, the ~then` President
of SREE RAMAKRISHNA ASHRAM, MYSORE, the Prathishtana has grown up considerably
during the last around 120 months and has a life member strength of 700 [updated on 05-October-2007] from several
Districts of Karnataka, including the cities of Mysore and Bangalore. The members include DOCTORS, LAWYERS, EDUCATIONISTS,
DANCERS, MUSICIANS, DRAMATISTS and housewives. irrespective of caste, colour or race and status.
